The Bastion Digital team is leading the digital transformation of Fiji Sun, a newspaper based in Suva. The project involves digital revenue growth, organizational restructuring, content strategy, and launching a subscription model. It also includes building a new website and CMS. To date, work has included a baseline business assessment, strategic planning, the formation of core project groups, the implementation of initiatives, and one week of company-wide training in Suva.
Key results over three years include:
– Achieving 15% digital revenue from overall revenue
– Growing digital audience to 750k monthly unique visitors
– Gaining 5,000 digital subscribers
– Increasing the digital-skilled team to 75% of staff
